Hello residents! I am Rachel Plank, your Treasurer appointed in July 2025. It has been a great pleasure to meet and get to know the constituents of Milton Township.
I was born in Maine but made my way out to the Midwest and have spent the majority of my life here. My husband and I relocated to Milton Township in March of 2025 to be closer to our son. We have made a few moves across the country in the past decade, and despite our love for sun and warm weather, Michigan is HOME!
I was previously a Charter Township Treasurer in a neighboring county. I am a Michigan Certified Public Treasurer (MiCPT), which I attained from Michigan State University. In the past, I was the Chairman of the Buchanan Area Recreation Board. I also served as the ex officio Board Member of the Planning Commission. I was the Secretary of the Southeast Berrien County Landfill Authority Board.
I spent over 15 years as the CFO of a political Communications company. I’ve worked for a former Indiana Congressman as an Immigration Caseworker and for a former County Prosecuting Attorney as a Probate Coordinator in the Juvenile Justice Center in St. Joseph County, Indiana. It’s my heart to serve the public and I look forward to serving you!
